Preparatory research conducted by the Danish team in partnership with Kathmandu Eureka Leo Club


Kathmandu, A six member team of DUF (Danish Youth Federation) of Denmark has visited Nepal for preliminary study of project preparation. Organized in collaboration with Kathmandu Eureka Leo Club, the visit focused on cultural exchange, group building, and pre-study. The team from Denmark was welcomed by the volunteers of Kathmandu Eureka Leo Club.

The five-day program also included interactive programs, group discussions, icebreaker games and thoughtful debates in search of innovative solutions. Club Secretary Nirmalraj Shahi, Joint Secretary Sumina Khatri and Leo Anisha Karki played a role in introducing the Danish team to various officials. Discussions with the Danish team were also held about democracy focusing on prejudices & election in Nepal and Denmark. Srijan Aryal, president of Kathmandu Eureka Leo Club, thanked the Danish team for their support and experience.

Leo Kusum Poudel, the first vice president of the Leo Club of Kathmandu Eureka, said that this program had a special impact on the social burden and friendship in both teams. Volunteers from Leo believe that this exchange will contribute significantly to the field of cultural dialogue and education as well as the observation of prejudices bound to different cultures and different measures of educational activities. The Danish team were happy to see the fascinating culture, religious and tourist places of Nepal during their one-week stay in Nepal. This study aims to prepare a two-sided project and build a program in Nepal in the coming days, based on the achievements, discrimination and problems gained from their visit to Nepal, and they promised to hold the program in Nepal within one year as much as possible.
